Fresh lip blush normally looks stronger and more defined than the healed result. Some temporary swelling or sensitivity can occur, and the colour should not be judged at this stage.
The first few days
The lips can feel dry and the surface may begin to flake. The important rule is not to pick or peel the healing skin. Follow the aftercare instructions given for your individual appointment.
Around days four to seven
As surface flaking settles, the colour can appear much lighter or uneven. This pale phase can worry clients, but it is too early to judge the final result.
The following weeks
The colour gradually looks more integrated with the natural lip. Small differences in retention can become clearer as healing progresses.
When to judge the result
